Pandora Mail – Why are inline images missing from incoming messages?

I've been running Eudora mail client in parallel with Pandora Mail for about four days so still have a lot to learn about Pandora. partly due to my unfamiliarity with Pandora -- how it operates, and the effect of various Pandora settings -- and partly due to some hiccups with the importation of stuff across from Eudora (perhaps some things were imported into the wrong subfolder, for example).

One thing that's puzzling me is why inline images are not being displayed in messages, as in the following Pandora screenshot:

In Eudora the inline images look something like the following:

This screenshot also demonstrates a big gripe with Eudora, namely, that (before decommitting Eudora in 2006) Qualcomm didn't ever get around to fixing the UTF-8 character encoding issue, and to its great credit one of the best features of Pandora Mail is that character encoding is properly handled (no gobbledegook characters appear inside messages).

  1. Look at the bottom line of a mailbox window where there are several graphics. The one you want is the second one from the left which in your mailbox is a black box with an X. Click on the X and select "Allow All". Do this for all of your mailboxes.

    1. Thanks, Butch. There are lots of new things to learn about the Pandora Mail user interface, and it's a bit of a challenge for the Eudora convert to get to notice and comprehend them all..

It's nice that Pandora does have built-in Help that actually works compared with Eudora, which generates the error: "The Windows Help program is not supported in Windows 10").

However I'm finding the Pandora Help to be rather light on, at the moment. Pandora has even more features than Eudora, so it really needs a detailed user guide (like Eudora's user guide (a PDF with 500+ pages), which will hopefully come along eventually.

  2. There is also an option in Settings | General | Viewing Mail, check box "Inherit message Online Content policy from mailbox summary". This is needed to complete my first comment.
